YouTube garners over one billion views each day — and every minute, over 300 hours of video are uploaded to the platform. That’s 300 hours of video, uploaded to YouTube by people across the globe, every minute.

To get a better understanding of what this means for the world’s rapidly changing media industry, IVY hosted an Ideas Night with Robert Kyncl, YouTube’s Chief Business Officer. Robert oversees all of YouTube’s business functions — like sales, marketing, and strategy — and was previously the Vice President of Content at Netflix. Joining him for the conversation is Maany Peyvan, the lead Writer at YouTube — the two recently co-authored the new book, Streampunks: YouTube and the Rebels Remaking Media.

In a live conversation moderated by IVY’s Director of Strategic Relationships, Sarah Zapp, Robert and Maany talk about how YouTube is changing the face of media — and what’s on the horizon for entrepreneurs and leaders in our hyper-connected world.

Please enjoy our conversation with Robert Kyncl and Maany Peyvan.
