It’s just as important for leaders to grow as it is for their companies, according to John Hillen, a business professor, former Assistant Secretary of State, and former U.S. Army officer. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. It takes a lot of inner work. Hillen joined our IVY Ideas Night to expand on this idea. In this talk, he identifies the common stalls or warning signs to look out for and provides the tools necessary for overcoming them. Through his work with hundreds of leaders and organizations, he has taught members how to combat these challenges by radically changing their mindset, behaviors and skills to reinvent themselves as a “sophisticated leader” rather than using more tools, data or analytics.
